ASE and SPIL jointly announced plans to establish ASE Technology Holding Co Limited (ASEH).
2018
ASE Technology Holding Co Limited (ASEH) was officially established and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (3711) and the New York Stock Exchange (ASX).

- Established the first 5G mmWave Smart Factory at ASE Kaohsiung.
- Named on the CDP Water A List for the first time.

June
ASE and SPIL entered into a Joint Share Exchange Agreement, with both companies’ board of directors approving the formation of ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd.
2018
- February 12
ASE and SPIL held Extraordinary General Meetings respectively. The proposed Joint Share Exchange plan was approved, allowing ASE Technology Holding to acquire all the shares of ASE and SPIL.
- April 30
ASE Technology Holding listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE code: 3711) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE code: ASX) through the issue of ADRs.
