ASE Holdings hosts Annual Supplier Awards and Commits to Net Zero 2050 in Partnership with Suppliers

ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. (ASEH) held its annual Best Suppliers Award Ceremony in Taipei today, a momentous occasion dedicated to expressing appreciation to its invaluable network of suppliers and recognizing the outstanding suppliers of 2022. The event was attended by 400 representatives across 100 suppliers, all of whom contribute significantly to the success of ASEH’s subsidiaries – ASE, SPIL, and USI. As the leader in semiconductor assembly, test, materials, system design and manufacturing, suppliers play a pivotal role in actively shaping and bolstering ASEH’s business strategy and fostering its continued growth.

During the ceremony, the distinguished recognition of the best supplier award was conferred upon 12 exemplary companies, chosen from a pool of 101 suppliers specializing in packaging and testing equipment, raw materials, parts, and processing from the global semiconductor industry. We were honored to have Mr Eugene Chien, the Chairman of Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), deliver a keynote address at the event. In alignment with the ethos of sustainability, we were pleased to bring together 20 of our key suppliers at the event to undertake a pledge to reduce emissions by 20% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050. The pledge symbolizes a unified effort by ASEH and its supply chain partners to collaborate in the pursuit of achieving net-zero emissions.

“Establishing long-term and stable partnerships with our suppliers is the anchor to ASEH’s successive growth and continuous innovation,” said Tien Wu, Chief Operating Officer of ASEH. “In an uncertain economic climate exacerbated by market transformations, geopolitical tensions, and social and climate pressures, we must stay united and forge stronger collaborations to better manage supply chain risks. As a technology leader, we are actively developing advanced packaging solutions for heterogeneous integration and chiplets, as well as fostering sustainability through smart factories and green manufacturing practices with a commitment to social and environmental stewardship. To accomplish these goals, it is imperative for us to build on the strengths of our supplier partnerships, ensuring the ongoing delivery of unparalleled value for our company, customers, and stakeholders.” he continued.
