ASE Concludes 2025 Youth Sustainability Innovation Competition, Celebrating the Next Generation of Changemakers
The "2025 ASE Youth Sustainability Innovation Competition," organized under the guidance of the Taipei City Department of Education and jointly hosted by ASE Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (ASEH), the ASE Environmental and Sustainability Foundation, and the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNUHS), with execution by Ming Chuan University (MCU), has concluded successfully. After months of intense competition, 118 students from 12 high schools and vocational schools across Taipei City competed and 10 teams emerged as winners.

The competition centered on the theme "Sustainable Innovation and Action Implementation." Beyond offering a substantial prize fund to serve as initial seed capital, ASE will provide a year-long incubation program to support the top two winning teams. This program will assist with project execution, feasibility assessments, and resource matching, helping students turn their creative ideas into real-world, impactful sustainable solutions.
The top prize was awarded to the EcoSphereLab team from Taipei Municipal Zhong Zheng Senior High School. The team shared that their most valuable experience—from the initial proposal and innovation boot camp to the final round—was experiencing the full journey from ideation to implementation. The competition enabled them to transform their ideas from concepts into tangible outcomes.
The Program Director highlighted that the competition is designed to guide students through ideation, research and hands-on implementation to gain a deeper understanding that sustainability is not just a slogan, but a long-term journey that demands creativity, responsibility, and action.
Andrew Tang, Chief Procurement Officer of ASEH, also encouraged the students: "Innovation requires time, persistence, and resilience. Don't be afraid of failure; it is part of the journey. Use your own way to inspire others and change the world."
Through initiatives like this, ASE remains committed to supporting sustainable innovation among the next generation, reinforcing education as a driving force for positive social change.
